About JJ

JJ is a proof-of-concept multilingual medical intake assistant developed to explore how conversational AI can streamline the patient check-in process in healthcare settings.

The application leverages the power of Large Language Models (LLMs), combined with secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCS for transcripts, Firestore for specialized dictionaries).

Key features include:

• Multilingual conversation capabilities.
• Guided intake following standard medical protocols (like SOAP note subjective data points).
• Secure user authentication via Google OAuth.
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for improved medical term accuracy in specific languages (currently Haitian Creole).
• Secure storage and automated processing of conversation transcripts for medical review.
• PDF generation of formatted intake summaries including SOAP notes.
• Email delivery of processed transcripts.
